  78.                     These notes describe the C++ Compiler Execution
  79.                     Environment (_c++__e_o_e) from Silicon Graphics,
  80.                     Inc.  The C++ Compiler EOE contains C++
  81.                     libraries supplied as DSOs (dynamic shared
  82.                     objects).  The C++ EOE supports 64-bit, 32-bit
  83.                     and high performance 32-bit compilation modes.
  84.                     DSOs are discussed in the _d_s_o(_5) man page.

  88.                     If you plan to run _a_n_y C++-based applications,
  89.                     it is important to note that you mmmmuuuusssstttt install
  90.                     the C++ Compiler EOE.
  91.  
  92.                     _N_O_T_E: This versions of the _c++__e_o_e subsystem for
  93.                     IRIX 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 contains exactly the same
  94.                     runtime libraries as were released for _c++__e_o_e
  95.                     on IRIX 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4 respectively and are
  96.                     provided as a convenience. However, the
  97.                     subsystems will appear as upgrades under inst,
  98.                     because changes have been made to certain non-
  99.                     runtime library files.

  101.                     If, however, you need the latest runtime library
  102.                     fixes you must install the subsystems from patch
  103.                     2758 on top of this image.

  105.                     On IRIX 6.5, c++_eoe is located on the IRIX
  106.                     Foundation CD and contains the latest versions
  107.                     of the libraries.

  229.                     time, the subsystems marked ``default'' are
  230.                     those that are installed if you use the ``go''
  231.                     menu item.  To install a different set of
  232.                     subsystems, use the ``install,'' ``remove,''
  233.                     ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  234.                     customize the list of subsystems to be
  235.                     installed, then select the ``go'' menu item.

  240.                     After you install the online documentation for a
  241.                     product (the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view
  242.                     the release notes on your screen.

  244.                     If you have a graphics system, select ``Release
  245.                     Notes'' from the Tools submenu of the Toolchest.
  246.                     This displays the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser
  247.                     for the online release notes.

  249.                     Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for
  250.                     information on options to this command.
